The best areas to stay in Itacaré are:
- Centre: the perfect place for budget travellers and those who want to enjoy the nightlife and an array of facilities. It’s within walking distance of some of the best beaches in Itacaré.
- Praia da Coroa: Similar to the city centre, staying at Praia da Coroa you have easy access to many markets, bars and restaurants. Parking can be a problem if you’re driving.
- Praia da Concha: the best beach to stay in Itacaré. It has good infrastructure and it’s conveniently located close to the centre. There are many adorable pousadas enclosed by lush greenery with swimming pools and private parking.
- Praia da Tiririca: the perfect place for those who want to stay on a quiet beach, but not far from the city centre.
- Praia de São José: where to stay in Itacaré for a more secluded and relaxing holiday. You will need a car to get around.

It features an outdoor pool and a sun terrace where you can relax. You can also book water sports activities and services including fishing trips, paddle boards and canoeing.
Aldeia do Mar is only 900 metres from the Itacaré’s centre and within walking distance from the main nightlife street. It can organize romantic dinners and honeymoon packages.
Situated 500 metres from Concha Beach, the best-rated area in Itacaré, this family-friendly boutique hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool with a bar, a fitness centre, a garden, and free private parking.
It has also a kid’s club, a shared lounge, a sauna, a hot tub, room service and a tour desk.
Guests particularly like the location, the spacious and comfortable rooms, and the attentiveness of the staff. Meals here are highly recommended.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, a beautiful garden, a terrace with striking views, an exceptional restaurant and a bar, Chocolate Hotel is one of the newest 5-star hotels in Itacaré.
Located close to the buzz and life of the town, but far enough away to relax and chill when you needed, this amazingly designed hotel, rated 9.3 on Booking, boasts tasteful décor and super attentive staff.
Guests love the fantastic food prepared by the chef Jorge, the surreal views and the personalized service. The hotel is 1.8 km from Concha Beach and 2.3 km from Resende Beach. So, you might need a car.
Top Mid-range Itacaré Guesthouses
The last time I visited Itacaré, I decided to stay at Pousada Burundunga, one of the most charming guesthouses in the city.
This wonderfully decorated pousada, ranked 9.4 on Booking, is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest and has an excellent location, just 180 metres from Concha Beach, and a 5-minute walk from Itacaré city centre.
Pousada Burundunga boasts rustic infrastructure, a beautiful pool with sun loungers by a lush garden, spacious air-conditioned rooms with TV, coffee maker, minibar, and exotic décor.
I loved my stay at Pousada Burundunga. The breakfast was so delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Vila Pérola Negra is another top-rated and great value-for-money hotel in Itacaré, located right next to the city centre and close to the beaches (500 metres from Resende and 600 metres from Concha).
This superb pousada offers very spacious air-conditioned villas with a full kitchen, a patio, a private bathroom, and a balcony from where you can enjoy the city or pool view.
There’s also an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a shared lounge, a garden, and barbecue facilities.

Sitting within tropical gardens in Itacaré’s centre, Ilha Verde is an eco-friendly pousada, where you can enjoy relaxing massages in the bungalows, and take Yoga, capoeira, dance, and cooking classes within the property.

If you’re looking for pet-friendly hotels in Itacaré, you might be pleased to hear that you can take your four-legged friend to Coqueiro Verde, a great value-for-money pousada close to the beach and town.

Built in 2015, this pousada with amicable staff provides accommodation with a garden, a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a tour desk, free private parking, and a terrace.
The rooms have AC, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, a minibar, and a balcony with a garden view. A super tasty buffet, continental or vegetarian breakfast is available daily at the property.

Situated 500 metres from Coroa Beach and 250 metres from the main road, Pousada Vila do Dengo features an outdoor swimming pool and wellness facilities, including a sauna and a sun terrace.
The air-conditioned rooms with a balcony are fitted with a cable TV, a hammock, and a wardrobe.
You can relax by the pool, book rafting trips, do many different hikes in the area, and visit the waterfalls.

Pousada Raisis
If you’re looking for inexpensive hotels in Itacaré with incredible cost-benefit, excellent service, and great location, Pousada Raisis is a great option.
Located in downtown, right by the beach, it features an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, a very good tropical buffet breakfast, plus a terrace where you can admire the view of Rio de Contas and the Atlantic Ocean.

Pousada Tikuna has a helpful and friendly staff, and a quiet and cosy atmosphere and is an ideal place to rest and recharge, as well as socialize with the other guests in the communal area.
Set on the quiet side of Tiririca Beach, Lah Selva Pousada is a very charming little hostel surrounded by a peaceful environment graced by the sound of the waves, just a 15-minute walk from the centre.
